Christopher M. Alvarez is an associate with Alvarez, Thompson & Smoak, P.A. His practice is focused on civil litigation cases involving personal injury, wrongful death and general insurance defense, with a focus on commercial transportation defense and commercial premises litigation. Chris is part of the firm’s commercial transportation practice group and he has significant experience working on cases involving catastrophic or complex multi-party collisions involving tractor-trailers, and other commercial vehicles. Chris also has considerable experience representing insurance carriers and premises owners in litigation arising from all aspects of premises liability as well as first-party property insurance defense/homeowners claims.
Chris attended Stetson University College of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2018. Before attending law school, Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Rollins College. Chris’s professional memberships include the Florida Bar and the Florida Bar Young Lawyer’s Division.Born and raised in Orlando, Chris has developed an understanding of the complex needs of businesses, commercial carriers, as well as insurance companies and he works continuously to provide dedicated representation for the Firm’s clients. Outside of the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
