Raisul A. Bhuiyan is an associate with Alvarez, Thompson & Smoak, P.A. He has focused his practice on complex civil litigation cases, involving personal injury, wrongful death and general insurance defense, with a focus on commercial transportation defense and commercial premises litigation.
Raisul received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Lawrence University in 2016. Thereafter he received his Juris Doctorate from Barry University in 2019. While in law school, Raisul was a member of the Collaborative Family Law Clinic Journal as a Note & Comment Editor, where he edited several notes from fellow Attorneys in the Orlando legal community, as well as a Phi Alpha Delta fraternity.
Before practicing with Alvarez, Thompson & Smoak, Raisul was an Assistant State Attorney for the State Attorney’s office in the Ninth Judicial Circuit, as well as a law clerk at a local workers’ compensation and family law firm. As an Assistant State Attorney, he first chaired several misdemeanor jury trials. During his time as an Assistant State Attorney, he gained valuable knowledge advocating for victims of Domestic Violence, he brought his trial experience and his insight over to the civil side in the hope that he will be able to use this experience to aggressively defend clients.
Raisul has garnered considerable experience representing commercial carriers and a wide range of transportation litigation, to include catastrophic and complex multi-party collisions involving tractor-trailers, tow trucks, bus lines, and other commercial vehicles. He is part of the Firm’s 24-hour Commercial Transportation Emergency Response Team. Raisul also routinely handles claims where our firm has been asked to represent shopping centers, restaurants, nightclubs, retail establishments and other premises owners in litigation arising from all aspects of premises liability.
Raisul is originally from Brooklyn, New York and has resided in Florida since 2016. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with friends and family.
